Gato Treasure Hunt app for iPhone and iPad

Discover all 15 counties of Estonia while solving riddles and looking for treasures. NB! Includes walking and using your brain!

Gato has designed contactless treasure hunts for both Estonians and foreigners. The idea of the game is to get 5 clue words from 5 different locations and use them to find the treasure. This time you won’t be seeing the most popular locations, you go a bit off the beaten path. You get to walk quite a lot so it is definitely a healthy way to spend a day. Try not to wear your most expensive and cleanest gear as you might have to go off the path at times.
The price for all treasure hunts is 15 eur.
Estonian Treasure hunts are ~60km, so you’ll need a car. At the moment there is one treasure hunt in every county, just click on the maps to see the locations more accurately.
English Treasure hunts are ~30km and taking place only in Tallinn. They are designed for public transport, but you can also manage with a car, scooter or even a bicycle.
HOW TO GET PLAYING?
1. Download Gato Treasure Hunt app
2. Choose your preferred language (Estonian or English)
(swipe right for Tallinn transport information once you have selected English)
3. Choose your preferred hunt location
4. Choose game mode (Solo exploring or Friendly competition). Descriptions below.
5. Check the map for the starting location.
6. Pay 15 eur using apple pay (in app purchase)
7. Read the instructions and start the game!

IN THE GAME:
There are 5 checkpoints you have to visit (A,B,C,D,E) + the treasure location (T)
Every checkpoint has 3 sections, click on them to see the information.
Enter the clue word at the bottom of the page to see the information of the next checkpoint.
If you get confused, just hit the “question mark” at the top right corner and click on the help sections. Start from the top.
Once you get to T- checkpoint, use the clue words from the previous checkpoints to find the treasure.
This is how SOLO EXPLORING works. At the beginning of the game you get the info about where the game starts from inside the blue circle. In every checkpoint, when you to enter the correct clue word, the next checkpoint that becomes available for you is the closest one. This is us trying to keep you on the optimal route and save you some time and kilometres.
This is how FRIENDLY COMPETITION works. Find some friends to play the game with. At the beginning of the game you see a blue circle on the map. Each group goes somewhere inside this circle. When everyone’s ready, buy the game at the same time and you’ll see the info of all 5 checkpoints. Now it’s your job to put the locations in a reasonable order, so you wouldn’t spend too much time and kilometres. Whoever gets to the treasure first is the winner. Super simple and retro game, no one times you, no one checks how you pass your checkpoints, it’s all about honesty .
